Masterclass hamstring & sprinting
Sprint Performance, Explosiveness, Lumbopelvic Control and Hamstring Function in Rehabilitation and Training
Prof. Dr. Jean-Benoît Morin and Dr. Jurdan Mendiguchia: anyone involved in sprinting, explosiveness and hamstring rehabilitation has seen their work many times already, and SoccerDoc is immensely proud to bring these masterminds to Amsterdam, Netherlands.
On November 14th and 15th, you will be able to learn and see all the practical knowledge on assessing and training sprint performance and explosiveness, understanding the role of the lumbopelvic area, and get a world-class practical demonstration of the full hamstring rehabilitation spectrum.
On the first day, JB will show methods to evaluate running and sprinting kinematics (laboratory and field methods, force velocity profiles for jumping and sprinting, efficiency of propulsion) and will demonstrate / practice sprint tests and analysis of video, GPS and biomechanical data. In the afternoon he will show how you can improve sprint performance through more individualized training based on biomechanical analysis, demonstrating this as well through sled training, and use of motorized devices.
On day two, the legendary Jurdan Mendiguchia will discuss the screening of trunk, hamstring and structural capacity with you. His practical demonstration will demonstrate the evaluation and development of lumbopelvic control and running biomechanics (win-win for rehabilitation, performance and prevention).
The masterclass will take place at Fysiomed in Amsterdam-Zuid, a modern clinic where elite sports, rehab, and medical care come together. It’s a place trusted by many professional athletes and experts on a daily basis. The venue is easy to reach, with tram stops just around the corner and parking options nearby. A great setting for hands-on demos and two full days of inspiration, knowledge, and content you can apply right away. This entire masterclass will be conducted in English.
We can only host a maximum of 25 participants, so make sure you subscribe early!
IMPRESSION OF CONTENT
Our experts Prof. Dr. JB Morin and Jurdan Mendiguchia have published many magnificant papers on hamstring rehabilitation, the role of lumbopelvic mobility and stability, explosiveness, sprint posture and sprint training. Some of their content has been made available via clear video’s (see below), but ofcourse there is much more beneath the surface.
See you at the masterclass?!

WHAT PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS SAY
Good course with everything in it theory, practice and time for questions and discussion.
I really liked it!
Best class with these speakers I’ve had in al long time. Good organization, and if a course gives me energy instead of mental breakdown to me that’s a strong sign of how much it meant.
This course has been very valuable to me as a strength and conditioning coach, and I would highly recommend it to any coach working with athletes or clients who have running-specific goals.
LECTURERS
Jurdan Mendiguchia has achieved a legendary status in the world of hamstring rehabilitation for elite athletes, including the world’s best athletes in football, sprinting, track and field, NBA and NFL.
Among other positions, he has worked as an injury consultant for Barcelona FC, Benfica, and many international sports organisations. He has been THE mastermind behind the ongoing development of rehabilitation protocols in the last 20 years, publishing multiple studies on hamstring rehabilitation, integrated approaches, the role of the lumbopelvic area and the connection to sprinting and
sprint-specific training. Jurdan shares his ideas and philosophy from his position as a sports physiotherapist and director of Zentrum Rehab &. Performance in Spain.
Topics that he will include in this masterclass will be:
- A multifactorial approach to hamstring rehabilitation
- Assessing and addressing mobility & flexibility
- Addressing lumbopelvic control, glutes, hip and knee dominant exercises
- Assessing and addressing lumbopelvic control
- Acceleration vs high speed running mechanics and training
- Hamstring plyometric drills
- Common mistakes in sprint and technique training

JB Morin is a full professor at the University of Saint-Etienne. He is internationally mostly acknowledged for developing knowledge about force-velocity profiling, as well as developing clinical useful tools (such as the MySprint and MyJump app) for assessment and training of explosiveness and sprinting.
Prof. Dr. Morin is the Head of Sports Sciences and Physical Education, and is a enthousiastic, fun and fantastic expert in the field of sprint analysis and training.
Topics that he will include in this masterclass will be:
- Methods for analyzing sport performance (jumping, running, sprinting)
- Assessing and addressing strength, speed, power and stiffness
- Force Velocity Profiling and individualising training / therapy
- Prevention of hamstring injuries
- Horizontal vs vertical force production
- High-level resistance training in relation to horizontal force production and hamstring function
